Alsace in Black and White

Here are my endeavours with black and white film in Alsace.
I'm only feeling meh about these pics but I'm really thinking about shooting more black and white in the future, maybe a 2017 New Year's resolution.

In my pockets in Alsace.

Black and white wasn't probably the best choice because houses were so colorful, and there were flowers everywhere.

A second before the picture was taken he was hoping...

This cat was in the window every single day, fast asleep, bathing in sunlight...

Hello! I'm in the mirror.

Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle. Huge castle at the top of the mountain. Very impressive.

Our camping neighbours gave food to the storks one day, and they came begging all the time after that.

Alsace

Tunnel to Alsace :p
I don't think my pictures do justice to this beautiful region that is Alsace.
Anyway, we stayed in this beautiful town called Ribeauvillé. It was the fourth time for me in Alsace and I'm always in awe of how gorgeous the little villages are.
There are lots of shops and lots of people on the street, and that's not really common nowadays to see such lively city centers.

My Grand Pa taking a picture of a wonky welding job to show my brother.

Beside the scenary that is magical, the food and wine in Alsace are divine.
Smelly cheese, lots of typical dishes, and beautiful wines, what more can one ask for?

Stops on the Road to Alsace

In early october my Grand Pa and I took the road with the camper.
We went to Alsace but made an overnight stop twice.

First stop we made was in Vittel. And beside the picture above, everything in Vittel was pretty much desolated and shabby.
It used to be a thermal bath town, but thermal baths are not quite as popular as they used to be, so the town was pretty empty and lifeless.
It is still is the source town of the popular Vittel water but that's pretty much it.

Second stop was Gerardmer with its beautiful lake in the heart of the Vosges mountains.
