Summer Days

We had a pretty nice summer here in Paris. I enjoyed my hanging garden quite a lot.
We had a couple of heat waves that were pretty hard on us in our little sauna that we call our appartment but it was nice the rest of the time.

Heavy rain at one point that came through the ceiling and flooded the kitchen. Fun times.

Last May on a road trip with my Grand Pa we bought a Victoria pineapple. I saved the head, put it in water and once it had roots, I put it in dirt in a pot. It is now thriving.
Greg was jealous so I did the same thing at home. The leaves are spiky so this a cat proof plant. Good thing.

Life by the Window

By the window I...
Read and eat.
Drink wine and tea.
Just relax.

Hot dogs and The Remains of the Day.

Sharing pâtes de fruits with Greg.

Window by night. Tea time!

These are all dead by now. :/ I swear the heatwave hit all of my plants hard.
I still have a month to enjoy this little space of mine. I'm going to Austin, TX, from September 1st to September 30th. My Mom will probably be my plant-sitter.

I got a whole bunch of seeds from my flowers. I'll have Belles de Nuit  next year as well :)

Oregano and verbena.

Alittle more from my Garden

Fresh oregano for cooking

Belles de nuit never cease to take my breath away.

Peek-a-boo!

Trusty watering can I found on the street in Toronto. Well, not so trusty, it leaked for a while but duct tape got it all under control.

When my passiflora was still alive and beautiful.

My Garden

This is my happy place and my main obsession.
I have a few flower pots on two of my windowsills. Most of my flowers I grew from seeds. They give me so much peace and happiness. Here is a tour of my little hanging garden on the fourth floor.

New window this year. I couldn't just limit myself to one window. I bought oregano, verbena and licorice, they found their place at the window by the bed.

These pictures were taken quite a while ago now. My plants don't look as healthy now, which breaks my heart.

I bought myself passionflowers. I love them and was so excited to watch this plant grow. sadly I killed it. too much water during the heatwave. I've learned my lesson.

Reading nook.

It was so exciting to see seeds I got in Toronto on the streets blossom into such beautiful and tropical flowers. I got a few new seeds too.

The jasmine is thriving! It's all over the place and going strong.

Look at these colors.
