Hopi is Back

On October 2nd, we went to my parents to get back my cat Hopi.
We had a little family reunion before I left with my Grand Pa for a couple of weeks inAlsace and Greg would stay at our place in Paris with Hopi.

All the books I brought back from Toronto. Because I haven't posted enough pictures of them already.

The best meal are the simplest ones.
My mom cooking steaks on the BBQ.

Wearing a dress that was my Grand Ma's that I shortened to turn it into a shirt. It's so ugly I love it.

My brother giving the finger through the window. His favorite pose of them all.

Adorable kitty cat, all tiny and cute.

My Grand Pa and some potatoes.

Peek-a-boo

We celebrated my Dad's birthday.

Look at these two.

Now I can pick up my life where I left it on September 1st.
I have a few projects.
I might try my hand at comics and try to write and draw a graphic novel. I'm not sure I have what it takes skills and courage wise. It's a long process and a ton of work to do such a thing.
I drew a house today and it took me all afternoon, so it should take even longer than what I had planned.
I bought clay and I am planning on making more clay sculptures like the ones I made here.
I also want to make something out of all the beer cans I cut out that Greg drank in Toronto.
And there is the big issue of cleaning the apartment and making more room for our stuff.
I also need to work again because I am so broke right now.
Anyway.

Little Things

Umm, what a common title...
Anyway! A week ago I planted a few seeds on our window sill and I've been watching them grow ever since. It's so silly and yet so captivating to me.

A few days ago.

Today.

In a few weeks now, I will have a bunch of red flowers at the window. How cool is this going to be! Last year I planted basil and my Mom killed it when I let her take care of it while I was away last september. :)
Flowers will be a nice change, especially since I don't cook as much as I used too, I don't need basil anymore.

Last year an online friend gave me this flamingo in exchange for a piece of the jewelry I make. What a good deal!! It had been sitting sadly in the bathroom ever since I got it, it was time it got some fresh air.

My brother gave me a cat brush for my birthday and Hopi has been a lot more affectionate towards me since I started using it. He now climbs on my lap and asks for attention, something he never did to me. To everyone else yes, but not me.

For a few weeks I bought tons of craft supplies off eBay. I needed that so bad to get inspiration. :p My case was empty now it's packed with stuff! And it's not even over! I'm waiting for a lot more stuff.
I bought way too many frogs though... Stupid auctions, so addictive! :)

I won a second contest on Instagram and got these babies! They are body sprays by the brand Payot. I just discovered this brand I didn't know it even existed.
The pink bottle is a jasmine and white tea fragrance and the green one is green tea. My favorites! Jasmine and green tea! Couldn't be any better!
They smell heavenly of course, I can't wait to really try them! I'll sure bring them along on my trip to Portland in September  ;)

I had lunch with my Mom yesterday and we did a bit of shopping since the sales season started here in France and she bought me this dress. I'm 31 and it's only the second dress I own. I've spent my whole life covering my legs during summertime and wearing jeans.
I use to feel very self conscious about the hair on my legs. I don't shave I use an electric thingy that pulls hair out (don't know the word in english), and it's never neat. I also do it when it's absolutely 'necessary' and my legs look like the yeti's. It's ridiculous really, why should I care for a bunch of hair here and there on my legs? Who's going to look closely enough to notice them?
It's really hot here in Paris, I couldn't possibly wear jeans. :p
That's it for today. :)

My Brother's Cat

This is Spoon, my brother's cat. I hadn't seen him in a couple of years and he's only 4 :)
Long time no see.
This is just a quick post about this adorable kitty.

My brother loves the brand Honda. I guess it's because our beloved Grand Pa used to own a dealership for this brand. Anyway, my brother named his cat Spoon because it's a branch of Honda motorcycles. :)

Spoon is a cutie. He's very soft. My brother brushes him every day apparently ^^

Flowers growing by my dream house...
It was a sweet day, seeing my Grand pa, my brother, his cat and the house I wished I lived in...

Making things and Winning Things

Ever since I came back from my vacation I've been feeling great! Rather inspired and I'm finally crossing things off my to-do list.
I also decided to make completely new brooches for my Etsy shop. I've been neglecting it for so long now. For some reason what I make for the French market doesn't sell at all anywhere else. So I made these way more personnal brooches. They are all free hand embroidered which I'm rather proud of :p I don't draw the pattern on the felt first,

I made this one this morning :) Boobs and hairy armpit! It's funny because I don't think those broches would sell in France, and I already sold one uterus brooch to the US.
Well, I'm not sure at all I'll make more sales on Etsy but at least I feel confortable putting those up for all the American customers. I didn't put them in my french shop. Not quite yet.

I also made yet another boeuf bourguignon with my julia Child's cookbook. :) And what's cooking without drinking wine at the same time I ask you?

I haven't had a chance to share the last vacation pictures from my phone yet. So here we go! I bought this cute little dress in Quiberon. I'm so in love with it! I can't wait to wear it more! I might need to wash it though :p

Saturday night in the trailer, tea, sewing and the Simpsons...It doesn't get any better than this!

Sleeping time in the trailer in my Spongebob T-shirt.

Laundry day! I didn't bring enough panties so I had to wash a few. there were a nice decorative touch to the trailer.

With Biffy, my best friend's dog.

My Grand Pa and another ice cream cone... More pictures from the trip to come when I get back my rolls on paper from the shop. :)

In other news I won this adorable little girl on Instagram! I never participate to giveaways, but this time, I don't know, I just wanted to be in on the fun. I love her eyes. I've been following the making of this doll on Dark Manor Dolls'Instagram and her eyes really won my heart! When Rose, the lovely girl behind Dark Manor Dolls launched the giveaway I knew I had to give it a shot!
I can't wait to have her! As soon as I receive the package I'll take her around Paris and take pictures everywhere! :)

You can find Rose's dolls here on Etsy.

And just because, here are a bunch of pictures of this little bugger. I swear he must have been a model in another life, he's always posing for the camera. I must say that all the time...
Time to get back to work now. ;)
