Little Blogger

Greg started his own blog (Coco Pop by Lekrass) a few months ago.
Lately he has been into interviewing the good people of Paris :p
He started with Gérard, a man who's been working at the newspapers stand by our place for years and years.
It's really fun and interesting to hear what people have to say about their line of work and life in general, to know a little more about their stories. It seems that whoever you talk to has at least one thing incredible to tell you about themselves.

You can find Gérard's article here, here, here and here.
It's all in french though, but it's gooood!

After playing paparazzo with Greg (he didn't know I was taking the pictures), I went on a little walk in the neighborhood and snapped a couple of pictures while running some errands.

Life by the Window

By the window I...
Read and eat.
Drink wine and tea.
Just relax.

Hot dogs and The Remains of the Day.

Sharing pâtes de fruits with Greg.

Window by night. Tea time!

These are all dead by now. :/ I swear the heatwave hit all of my plants hard.
I still have a month to enjoy this little space of mine. I'm going to Austin, TX, from September 1st to September 30th. My Mom will probably be my plant-sitter.

I got a whole bunch of seeds from my flowers. I'll have Belles de Nuit  next year as well :)

Oregano and verbena.

Thirty-Three

In June, I celebrated my birthday with my family.
It always means good times for my belly.

My sweet Dad.

Yummy sardines. I ate so many.

My Mom made this little island for her plants. I love it! They don't like 'messy' gardens in my family. There has to be lawn, and hedges and nothing out of ONE flower(mostly roses) bed. This is so different!

My brother's favorite pose.

The winner of the sardine eating contest. He ate 12. TWELVE! And he keeps complaining he doesn't eat much now that he is 'old'. Yeah, right! 84 years young! :)

Mom hard at work.

Here he is!

Sardines, sardines everywhere!

I Loved You So Much I Killed You

I've always thought Passion Flowers were incredible flowers. So intricate, so weird... So this year I decided to treat myself and buy myself one to put at my window sill.
It lasted two months sharp. I overwatered it and it died.
Lesson learned. I'll get another one next year and treat it right this time.

In the morning I would open the window and sit there reading, the flower from the day before was dead and none of the buds would be open. At some point I would smell that very sweet smell, like plumeria meets bubblegum. A flower had just opened in the span of 10-20minutes.

What a waste. I'm so mad at myself. Besides it had so many buds waiting to bloom.
I try not to think about it.
I'm already planning what plants will be in my little garden next year. I'm moving forward. :)
