Toronto By Night and First Try at Long Exposure

And some kind of a try at light painting...

Since my camera didn't work when I took pictures of the city hall by day, I'm glad I have at least these by night.

Happy Halloween! :o

CN Tower

Another spot I wanted to visit 17years after. Another pilgrimage. Despite the fact that it was pretty expensive(CAN $40 tax included), we went up there.
Not worth the money.

This is the $40 shot.
The view was pretty disappointing. You can't see the whole view around unless you go on the belvedere but there is a pretty dense fence and you don't see that much, or you can pay extra and go higher. After forking $40, there was no way we would pay extra.
The rest of the view was not visible from the level we stopped at because there is a restaurant and you can't really go in there and take pictures from the window tables and disrupt people having drinks and stuff.

Actually, this is the $40 shot, I like it better :p

Recreated a picture i took 17years ago.
The glass floor was actually pretty thrilling. Feels weird to be so up high, I felt dizzy and my hands were clammy.

If I ever go back to Toronto, I won't go up the CN tower again, for sure.

Greg's Challenge

Just a quick post as a tribute to this year's Greg's challenge. Whenever we travel, I want to try as many different local wines as possible, Greg is into beer.
Here are a bunch of more or less blurry pictures of the local beers he tried.
Some of them he really liked, some not so much, and a whole bunch of them in the middle.

The number of Ontario based breweries is pretty amazing. And I thought France was beer country...

A Litlle Black and White

Every time I get rolls of black and white pictures from the lab, I love them, and yet I feel so intimidated shooting black and white.
The black and white films I buy are probably better quality than the color ones I pick, the contrast on the B/W is always so sharp.
Anyway.

This building would have looked better in colors since it was so colorful and uncanny but hey, with film pictures, you're stuck with whatever film you put in. :p

Probably one of my favorite pictures from this trip. Traffic jam at sunset.

Oooh! Another favorite! This is a self portrait of myself on a bench with Greg strolling behind. He didn't know I was taking a picture and I didn't know he was behind me.

Free stuff found on the curb, books and martini glass.

Me and my book pile.
