Two weeks on Rétinette

I brought my Kodak Rétinette on my trip to Alsace. I can't shut up about this camera and yet I am a little disappointed at the lack of sharpness of the pictures here. Too bad because I have 3 rolls of pictures taken with it on my trip to Memphis that I dropped at the lab. It was my main camera in Memphis.

This is the last post about Alsace. Next Memphis, whenever I get the pictures back.
I have to say, I can't wait to start shooting daily life again. Focusing on the little things hat make me happy and turning the pictures into a diary here.

The Sweet Life

To whoever is reading this, I hope these pictures will make you feel like you want to go to Alsace someday, if not right away.
That's a pretty pompous thing to ask for out of my own pictures but Alsace is such a beautiful place, magical even, that I feel it's my duty to promote it. :p

It has wonderful architecture and houses.

Most of them are very old.

Storks are flying freely.

My picture sucks but how cliché and cute is this?

There are flowers everywhere.

Quite a few cats too.

Lots of houses are decorated with all kinds of things.

Lots of witches everywhere.

More plants.

So many delicious delicacies.

Vineyards = wine, and delicious wine by the way.

I hope a picture is really worth a thousand words and that you found a picture that really makes you want to go there.
I love Paris, Paris is magical. And as the French countryside is concerned, Alsace is the Paris of French countryside.

Alsace in Black and White

Here are my endeavours with black and white film in Alsace.
I'm only feeling meh about these pics but I'm really thinking about shooting more black and white in the future, maybe a 2017 New Year's resolution.

In my pockets in Alsace.

Black and white wasn't probably the best choice because houses were so colorful, and there were flowers everywhere.

A second before the picture was taken he was hoping...

This cat was in the window every single day, fast asleep, bathing in sunlight...

Hello! I'm in the mirror.

Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle. Huge castle at the top of the mountain. Very impressive.

Our camping neighbours gave food to the storks one day, and they came begging all the time after that.
